Technology is playing a huge part in many mind blowing and futuristic plumbing advancements that need to be seen to be believed.

Various shower nozzles can provide bubbling relaxation or water massage settings, with some even having personalised LED light settings to add to the ambience. The humble toilet has come a long way, from a quiet spot near a tree with a trusty leaf in hand, to water conserving cisterns with built-in bidets. New smart toilets are able to self-clean, disinfect with electrolysers and even analyse human waste to detect diet deficiencies and illnesses.

Touch screen taps let you select boiling, hot, cold or even sparkling water and remember different user’s preferences with colour change tech to indicate the setting. Some can also adjust the water’s pH value. You have the option of wireless control from your phone or computer too.

Motion sensors allow you to use plumbing fixtures without flicking a single switch or turning a knob. Showers and taps turn on when they detect movement and off when they don’t. What’s good about this is that it saves water and sensors are easier to maintain than traditional taps.
