Blocked Drains

Blocked drains can be a nightmare, a blocked shower drain, kitchen sink or external pipes. DIY ‘experts’ often reach for caustic soda and continue adding more and more until the blockage clears, this can be an environmental nightmare, especially if you have a grey water system. Or the ‘high pressure jet clearance method’, this can cause damage to pipes and drains. Power drain clearing equipment should only be operated by a licensed professional.

Tricky Toilets

Most times a leaking cistern is caused by general wear and tear. Epoxy glue is not the answer. Sometimes it will only be necessary to replace a single part to fix the problem or a replacement may be required.

But there have been a few DIY disasters that really are a case of ‘I should have called Plumbspec!’.
